As an 01 FFL, NorCal Custom Engraving & Cerakote can accept firearms for customization from any state within the United States.

We accept firearms in person or via FedEx with signature required or UPS with signature required ONLY.

DO NOT ship your firearm to us via USPS mail

If you would like to meet up in-person to give us your firearm, please email us to coordinate.

Please note: We do not sell firearms or facilitate firearm holds for transfer.

4 Easy Steps to Shipping Your Firearm

Please read carefully and follow our instructions so your firearm makes it to its intended destination safely.

Step 1: Fill out and submit the Shipping Notification Form to notify us you will be shipping your firearm.

Step 2: Your firearm should be fully stripped down before shipping. If we are not cerakoting and/or engraving the full firearm, we prefer that you only ship us the parts we will be cerakoting and/or engraving (i.e upper only, lower only, etc). There will be a $40-$60 charge if we will be stripping the firearm down for you.

PLEASE NOTE: If you decide to ship an unstripped firearm, first and foremost, please ensure your firearm is unloaded. DO NOT ship us a loaded firearm and DO NOT ship ammunition in the box along with your firearm.

Step 3: Pack your firearm or firearm parts in a plain, sturdy, unmarked shipping box with sufficient packing material to protect your firearm BEFORE entering a shipping facility. Be sure to include your contact information inside the box including name and phone number. It's important we are able to contact you to verify your Shipping Notification Form prior to conducting any work on your firearm. If your package arrives and we are unable to match it to an inquiry form, your firearm will be shipped back to you without any work done.

Step 4: Ship your package via FedEx with signature required or UPS with signature required ONLY. Shipping insurance is recommended. We are not responsible for packages that are lost or damaged during the shipping process.

PLEASE NOTE: Shipping costs are not included in our price quote and are the responsibility of the customer.

Return Shipping

Step 1: Once work is completed on your firearm, we will send you an invoice for payment via email. We will include a link for online payment along with a photo of the work completed for approval.

Step 2: Pay your invoice in full. Your firearm will not be shipped until full payment has been received.

Step 3: Once payment confirmation has been received, we will confirm a shipping date and provide you with a shipping tracking number.

PLEASE NOTE: We are not responsible for packages that are lost or damaged during the shipping process. When you receive your firearm, please contact us within 24 hours of receiving your package if there is a non-shipping related issue (i.e. results are not as expected, something about the work completed isn't correct, etc.). NorCal Custom Engraving & Cerakote will always do our best to make it right and meet the expectations of our customers for high quality custom firearm work.
